The HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) or the Chinese Proficiency Test is an international standardized examination which tests and rates Chinese language proficiency. It evaluates Chinese language ability of non-native Chinese speakers in terms of using the language in their daily lives.
The new HSK test was launched by Hanban in an effort to serve Chinese learners better. The new HSK test is divided into three levels; namely elementary, intermediate and advance. Each level is further divided into two sub-levels. Thus in total there are six level : HSK1, HSK2, HSK3, HSK4, HSK5 and HSK6.
HSK training program is designed to help students to prepare for HSK exams specifically. It involves solving mock papers, paper analyses and developing skills to score higher.
